Ben Bankas Worcester Concert reviews
Very pleased with 1st DKM concert
After hearing a lot of good things about their shows, this is the first time I'd seen them, and I liked much of their album material.
They played a good mix of stuff from their existing albums as well, and I was impressed with the direction of most of that from their upcoming album.
A very pleasant surprise mid-set was The Guns Of Brixton cover, a signature punk song, plain and simple, and one of my favorite Clash tracks in particular.
The crowd ambiance for Kiss Me I'm S---faced, the pre-encore finisher, was amazing. Many of the ladies in attendance joined the band on stage, particularly appreciating this parody of drunkenly exaggerated pickup lines from one of Ben Bankas's more humorous songs in general.
Ben Bankas delivered on what you expect of them, with a fair helping of Celtic flavor on a properly raucous punk show. Wicked awesome mosh pit, and without the crowd spiraling out of control. (When an act has so many good songs that they can't get to all of them, that's a good thing.)
